1. What is Hard Turning?

Hard turning refers to the machining process of turning hardened steel using CBN or ceramic tools. Hard turning technology has excellent applications in automotive parts processing, precision reducer gear processing, bearing processing, and other fields.

2. Advantages of Hard Turning

Equipment investment and floor space are less than 50% of grinding machines, and multiple grinding processes can be integrated into one lathe. With a single setup, all processes including outer diameter, inner diameter, arcs, free-form surfaces can be completed, greatly improving straightness, perpendicularity, and concentricity. Loading/unloading time is short, reducing cycle time. Dry cutting reduces coolant usage, and waste grinding swarf can be recycled into chips, reducing environmental burden.

The integrally cast 30-degree slant bed structure offers excellent thermal stability and chip evacuation, ensuring stable dimensional accuracy for high-precision machining. In addition, all moving axes use sliding guideways carefully manufactured by experienced scraping technicians, ensuring high rigidity and high vibration damping.

The front bearing uses a combination of a ball bearing and a roller bearing, maintaining high-precision stable rotation from low to high speeds while achieving high rigidity.

The turret, which withstands cutting forces and vibration under demanding conditions, can directly mount 25mm square tool shanks, reducing tool installation transition steps and shortening tool overhang length, ensuring high-rigidity turning.
